Solo PvE zombie extraction
Enter a ruined city alone, recover scrap from salvage containers, and reach the extraction pad while zombies close in. Your haul feeds a persistent shelter campaign.

- Solo PvE
- Fight zombies, with no hostile player squads
- Three crates
- Salvage containers can build up in the field
- Persistent haul
- Recovered supplies reach shelter storage
Leave the shelter for a ruined city intersection, recover salvage, and decide when to head back to the green extraction pad. This is solo PvE: every field threat is a zombie, and every resource supports the shelter.
Read the street before you chase the scrap
The scrap expedition takes place in a ruined city intersection viewed from above. Wrecked cars, broken walls, rubble, barrels, and supply stacks shape the route. Open ground gives you room to move; obstacles can break the line between salvage and the exit.
Zombies approach from the edge of the combat area. Move with WASD and sprint with Shift, or use the left stick on touch. Aim and fire with the mouse or hold FIRE. Walk into an amber container to collect it while infected press in.
- Keyboard: WASD to move, Shift to sprint, mouse to aim and fire.
- Touch: left stick to move; hold FIRE to shoot.
- Walk into amber containers to collect their scrap.

Salvage comes in waves, so time matters
Containers arrive during the expedition, up to three at once. Each holds 8, 12, or 18 scrap. Reaching one may take you away from the exit and deeper into danger.
Decide how much salvage is worth the detour. Track your position and return before the crowd pins you against the city edge. Sprinting buys distance; firing can clear immediate pressure, but it does not remove the need to find a return route.
Reach the green pad to end the run
The extraction point is marked in green. Stand within the marked pad to reveal the extraction control, then activate it to retreat and settle the run. On keyboard, press E while the control is available. After collecting salvage, wreckage, walls, and pursuing zombies affect how directly you can return.
A retreat closes the expedition and records scrap in the campaign; it does not advance a sector. Shelter storage caps apply. Recovered expedition cargo also persists after defeat, so the risk centers on surviving and returning rather than losing the saved haul.
Choose between salvage exploration and endless scavenging
The separate Scavenge option is an open ended hold-the-line run. It has no containers or city extraction pad: clear successive waves and recover the supplies earned when the run ends.
Scavenge pressure rises continuously. The active zombie population caps at 70, while enemy strength and damage keep scaling. Cleared waves add food, ammunition, energy, and scrap. The expedition tests your route and exit timing; Scavenge tests how long you can hold the line.
Turn recovered scrap into a stronger shelter
Expeditions feed the persistent shelter campaign. Scrap helps pay for room upgrades, weapon improvements, and crafting; other supply runs replenish food, ammunition, and energy. Storage caps can limit a reward when the report settles.
A run can replenish supplies without completing a campaign sector. Between deployments, manage the base, improve equipment, and choose between containers and another stretch of survival.
Three choices shape a supply run
Think about the route, your current loadout, and what the shelter needs before you deploy.
Take the reachable crate
If an amber container is close and you have room to move, collect it before the field fills with more pressure. Avoid crossing the whole map for a small detour when your health or ammunition is running low.
Keep a return lane open
Notice where the green pad sits relative to the wreckage and infected. Do not let the next pickup pull you into a corner that makes the walk back harder than the scrap is worth.
Settle the run that fits your need
Choose the container expedition for movement and extraction; choose Scavenge for escalating waves and a longer hold. Both support the shelter, but their field objectives and pacing differ.

Questions about Extraction in the current Alpha.
Yes. Its scrap expedition sends you into a ruined city to recover containers and return to a marked extraction pad. The game also has a separate endless Scavenge mode built around successive waves.
It is solo PvE. The enemies in the expedition are zombies; there are no hostile player squads or shared-loot PvP raids.
Each container yields 8, 12, or 18 scrap. The expedition allows up to three salvage containers to be present at a time.
Move within the green pad to reveal the extraction control, then activate it to settle the expedition. On keyboard, press E while on the pad. The pad alone does not end the run; settlement applies shelter storage caps.
The current campaign rules preserve scrap recovered in the expedition after defeat or extraction. Shelter storage caps still apply when the run is settled.
No. Container salvage is a supply run connected to the shelter, separate from sector progression and its three-wave victory condition.
Scavenge is an open ended wave mode. It has no salvage containers or extraction-pad objective; each cleared wave adds supplies to the recovery bundle, while enemy pressure continues scaling.
Scrap is used across shelter upgrades, weapon improvements, and crafting. The campaign's storage cap determines how much of a reward can be added to stock.
