6 Games Like Vampire Survivors for the Browser (5 Playable, Plus Zombie Defence in Alpha)
Compare horde movement, weapon combinations, and progression that reaches beyond one run.

Vampire Survivors turns crowd-dodging into a build puzzle: collect experience, pick weapons and passives, and watch combinations grow into screen-clearing attacks. If you want that rhythm in a browser, 10 Minutes Till Dawn adds direct aiming, while Further Still: Survivors leans closest to the same weapon-and-upgrade loop.
Five picks below have a browser game or demo you can open now. Zombie Defence is an in-development comparison because its public release is not confirmed; its design connects manual shooting and horde runs to a persistent shelter.
The choices range from held mouse fire to auto-fire and a growing party. Pick by the part of the loop you want to control: aiming, upgrade combinations, or the route through the crowd.

The games
10 Minutes Till Dawn
A monster-horde demo where held shooting and weapon choices turn each dodge into a tactical decision.
- Manual aim
- Short runs
- Roguelite
- Platforms
- HTML5 browser demo; keyboard and mouse
- Price model
- Free browser demo; the separate full game, 20 Minutes Till Dawn, is sold on Steam.
The developer lists WASD to move and held left-click to shoot. That extra input gives every escape route a purpose: you are threading gaps while choosing where to point your weapon. The HTML5 browser demo asks you to survive a ten-minute monster onslaught, with characters and weapons changing how a run develops.
The demo offers more than 50 upgrades, leaving room to steer a run toward a particular weapon effect rather than simply stack generic damage. The full game, 20 Minutes Till Dawn, is a separate paid Steam release with more characters, weapons, upgrades, and enemies.

The verdict
Choose it when weapon combinations are the draw, but you want to place every shot instead of relying on automatic attacks.
Further Still: Survivors
A retro horde roguelite that combines weapons, spells, equipment, and a home base between runs.
- Roguelite
- Loot builds
- Short runs
- Shelter building
- Platforms
- HTML5 browser build; keyboard, mouse, and listed controller inputs; Windows version on Steam
- Price model
- Free browser build; paid Steam release and name-your-price download are separate options.
Weapons, spells, armor, and equipment all contribute to a build, so there are several combinations to explore while surviving each horde. The developer describes the game as heavily inspired by Vampire Survivors, making it the most direct thematic and mechanical match in this list.
Between runs, a home base fills with friendly characters who add unlocks and things to manage. The free HTML5 build remains in development; the separate Steam release is still Early Access, and Steam says it has not had a developer update in over three years. The developer also warns that browser saves may not carry over to a download and that some HTML-player sounds are distorted.

The verdict
Start here for the closest browser homage, provided you are comfortable with an in-development game and keeping browser progress separate.
Zombie Defence
A manual-shooting zombie game that connects outings to a shelter with production, crafting, research, and crops.
- Manual aim (desktop)
- Extraction
- Shelter building
- Crafting
- Permanent progress
- Platforms
- Browser Alpha (development build); native mobile stores are planned.
- Price model
- Freemium planned; launch pricing and monetization terms are unconfirmed.
Zombie Defence changes the familiar horde loop into an active shooter: on desktop, move, aim with the cursor, fire, track ammunition, and reload. Killing enemies earns experience, and three-card level-ups mix immediate combat choices with investments in the shelter. A run can strengthen your weapon plan or move the wider campaign forward.
Its Scrap expeditions add city scavenging and extraction alongside separate sector battles and endless scavenging. Scrap picked up on an expedition is retained after extraction or defeat, subject to storage capacity, while shelter upgrades persist. Production stations, weapon crafting, research, workers, and crops for cooking buffs give those resources several uses.

The verdict
Explore Zombie Defence if you want each horde outing to build toward a better-equipped shelter, and prefer direct shooting to automatic attacks.
Hive Jump 2: Survivors (browser demo)
An alien-horde shooter where a jetpack, weapon upgrades, and aim style all change how you survive a run.
- Roguelite
- Manual aim
- Short runs
- Fast-paced
- Platforms
- HTML5 browser demo; keyboard and gamepad. Full game on Windows and Linux via Steam.
- Price model
- Free browser demo; the full game is sold separately on Steam.
You bring a weapon and jetpack into bug-filled arenas, using the latter to dodge crowds and cross terrain. The developer's page says you can leave auto-fire on to focus on movement or aim manually when you want more control. Kills also feed a run shop for weapons, utilities, and relics, while amber unlocks abilities that carry between runs.
The playable web entry is a separate demo, build 0.4.1016, rather than the full release. Its welcome screen says progress will not transfer to the full game. The paid Steam version left Early Access and released on September 10, 2024, so the browser page's older pre-release language does not describe the current Steam status.

The verdict
Try the demo for jetpack-driven movement and flexible aiming; the full released game is a separate Steam purchase.
Stellar Swarm
A space horde game pairing branching weapon evolutions with permanent ship upgrades between runs.
- Roguelite
- Short runs
- Permanent progress
- Loot builds
- Platforms
- Browser on desktop, mobile, and tablet via CrazyGames; portrait layout
- Price model
- Free browser play on CrazyGames.
Pilot a neon ship through endless waves of geometric enemies. You choose a starting weapon, unlock more options, build along branching skill trees, and aim for stronger evolutions. The official listing documents WASD or arrow keys for movement and P for the pause menu; its emphasis is on steering through the swarm while deciding how to shape the arsenal.
Crystals buy permanent ship upgrades, so a run feeds a longer progression track as well as its own weapon tree. That gives Stellar Swarm more to return for than a single high score, but the presentation is clean sci-fi arcade action rather than gothic horror or zombie survival. The CrazyGames page was updated in September 2026 and lists desktop, mobile, and tablet browser play.

The verdict
Choose Stellar Swarm when the weapon tree and between-run upgrades matter more than Vampire Survivors' setting.
King Survivors
A formation-based horde roguelike where recruits follow the king in a line and bring different abilities.
- Roguelite
- Squad builds
- Short runs
- Permanent progress
- Platforms
- Browser on desktop, mobile, and tablet via CrazyGames; documented controls use a mouse
- Price model
- Free browser play on CrazyGames.
Here, your build is a party. Move the king with the mouse, then click to recruit heroes such as wizards, hunters, and knights. Their unique abilities work together as they trail behind like a snake, and more kills bring more heroes into the line. That turns route choice into the central skill: the king may fit through a gap, but the followers still need room to make the turn.
King Survivors is a browser roguelike listed for desktop, mobile, and tablet, with mouse movement and clicking as the documented controls. It trades Vampire Survivors' focus on combining weapons and passive items for recruiting roles and keeping a formation intact. Choose it for that movement puzzle; pick another entry here if level-up synergies are the main attraction.

The verdict
Try King Survivors for a horde game about formation and recruitment, not as a one-to-one replacement for Vampire Survivors' weapon builds.
